These are interesting and challenging times for the health and social care sector and it is often difficult to stay on-top of the latest policies, guidance and recommendations from central government, the arms-length regulatory and advisory bodies, and professional bodies such as the medical royal colleges, let alone translate these into every day clinical or operational practice.

My aim in writing this blog is to highlight and  interpret the major announcements in healthcare policy, regulation and clinical practice that may impact on the day to day delivery of patient care and future planning within the NHS and private healthcare markets.
